Hi, I'm Candice, the founder of Decodrop. My journey to this point has been filled with challenges, but also moments of growth and rediscovery. Moving frequently throughout my childhood meant that I was always adapting to new environments, and that resilience became my strength. Life wasn't easy, and I faced many obstacles, including being abandoned and living in a children's home. It was during those difficult times that I found solace in my schoolwork, but especially in my art projects. Art became my anchor, allowing me to express myself and find purpose even in uncertain times.

Throughout much of my life, I was in survival mode—constantly moving, adapting, and trying to make it through each day. During those times, I often forgot to take care of myself or take moments to truly pamper myself. This realization became a key inspiration for Decodrop. I wanted to create something that would allow others to experience the joy of self-care and pampering, using healthy and thoughtfully made products.

I pursued fine arts, animation, and design, and although the path wasn’t always straightforward, it taught me the importance of perseverance.

After a series of challenges, I found myself in Cape Town, where my passion for creativity was rekindled. Surrounded by art supplies once again, I felt a renewed energy to create. It was during this time that I was inspired to start Decodrop—a place where I could channel my creativity into something meaningful. Designing products, working with colors, and sharing these creations with others brought me a sense of joy that I hadn't felt in a long time.

Decodrop is more than just a business to me. It represents transformation, resilience, and the beauty of small, colorful moments. Every bath bomb, diffuser, and mug is crafted with love, with the hope that it will bring a smile and a bit of happiness to someone’s day. The name "Decodrop" comes from my desire to blend decor and drops of color—a symbol of how small things can transform the bigger picture.
